“Wrongful Death and the Personal Representative” will address the issues court-appointed personal representatives and their attorneys confront when a wrongful death occurs – focusing on the duties and responsibilities owed to the estate and survivors.  The presentation begins with a review of each section of the Florida Wrongful Death Act (i.e. Florida Statutes, Sections 768.16-768.26), reviews applicable Florida Probate Rules and Florida Guardianship Law, and concludes with a review of Florida Standard Jury Instructions and Model Form of Verdict – applicable case law is also included in the presentation.

Andrew Blaise Sasso practices in the Clearwater, Florida office of Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen with a practice focused in the areas of probate, guardianship, and trust litigation and administration. Mr. Sasso has served the Clearwater Bar Association, Inc. Chief Justice Jorge Labarga appointed Mr. Sasso to serve on the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Management Council Guardianship Workgroup (2016-2018).
